Achievements in Benghazi will send a message to the world that Libya’s development has begun in earnest, Ageela says.


Tripoli: Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Ageela Saleh, participated yesterday in the ceremony of opening a number of bridges in Benghazi.

According to the Spokesman of the HoR, Abdullah Belihaq, Ageela said in his remarks during the ceremony that reconstruction of Benghazi is in the interest of all Libyan people, reiterating that these achievements that were launched in Benghazi and soon in Derna and the areas affected by the floods confirm the importance of the fact that there is a development renaissance that will have a major impact on improving and facilitating means of life and will send a message to the world that the development wheel in Libya has begun in earnest.

Ageela called on Arab and foreign companies to participate in this development renaissance, which indicates Libya is a country of safety and security.

Ageela also commended the Egyptian companies’ accomplishment of their tasks in accordance with international standards and thanked the people and government of Egypt for thei
r support of the Libyan people. Stressing that the HoR supports these projects and stability in Libya and stands united to support these efforts.

The ceremony was attended by a number of members of the HoR, including the Prime Minister-designate of the HoR, Osama Hammad, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, the Chairman of the Reconstruction and Stabilization Committee, and the Executive Director of the Fund for the Reconstruction of Derna and Affected Areas, in addition to a number of civilian, security, and military leaders.
