The 'First Libyan-Japanese Economic Forum' was held in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, in the presence of the representative of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of representatives of Japanese companies interested in relations with Libya in several sectors, most notably the oil, gas, and renewable energy sector. The forum, which was held at the Japan Energy Institute, included a number of economic events, during which views were exchanged on ways to strengthen bilateral relations. Participants in the forum expressed their desire to return to contribute to economic activity in Libya, according to the Media Office of the Presidential Council. On Wednesday, Al-Lafi began an official visit to Japan, accompanied by a high-ranking delegation, to discuss with the Japanese side a number of issues of common interest. Source: Libyan News Agency
