The Military Intelligence Agency arrested a terrorist in Nineveh and seized two caches of explosive devices in Tuz Khurmatu and south of Baghdad.
A statement by the Agency stated that: "Based on accurate intelligence information, an elaborate ambush was set up in the village of Al-Arij, and as a result, one of the wanted terrorists was arrested in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law in Hammam Al-Alil district."
The military intelligence detachments also seized, after searching and searching, two caches, the first containing (38) explosive devices in the form of a homemade mortar bomb and (50) bags containing C4 explosive material in Al-Zafaraniya area, south of Baghdad, and the second containing (29) homemade explosive devices inside it highly explosive TNT material on the outskirts of the village of Al-Khashamla, affiliated to the Tuz Khurmato district, and the engineering effort detachments took care of removing the materials and destroying them on site.
