The Energy Police seized a hideout for smuggling oil and its derivatives, found iron tanks, and arrested an accused, in Anbar and Basra governorates.
The Energy Police Directorate stated: A force affiliated with the 2nd Energy Police Brigade seized a hideout for smuggling oil and its derivatives in Anbar Governorate – Al-Qaim District. They arrested two defendants and seized a number of iron and plastic tanks filled with an oil product of unknown quantity and quality, as well as pumps and suction and discharge hoses.
In another context, the detachments of the Eighth Brigade arrested an accused and seized his vehicle in Basra because he did not carry official documents inside the southern Rumaila site. All seized items were investigated and the case papers were organized to be presented to the competent investigating judge./End
