Hangu: Nine police officers were killed, and 28 others were wounded in an attack on a police checkpoint in northwestern Pakistan today.
According to Qatar News Agency, Pakistani police said gunmen attacked a security checkpoint in Hangu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The assault resulted in the death of nine officers, including a senior officer, and left 28 others injured.
Following the attack, police initiated a large-scale search operation in the area. During the response, 15 militants were reported killed by the authorities.
