Jerusalem: Amid the stringent military measures imposed by the Israeli occupation authorities to restrict access to the mosque, 60,000 Palestinians performed the Isha and Taraweeh prayers on the ninth day of the holy month of Ramadan at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, according to the Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem.
According to Qatar News Agency, the department highlighted that most of the worshipers were residents of the holy city or from within the territories of 1948. The Israeli occupation authorities deprive thousands of Palestinians from the West Bank provinces of reaching Jerusalem to perform prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
