5.7-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Pakistan Punjab Province

An earthquake measuring 5.7 magnitude on the Richter scale struck the Punjab province, northeast of Pakistan, on Wednesday.

The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km, the National Seismic Monitoring Center reported in a statement.

There have been no reports of casualties or material losses due to the earthquakes so far.

Pakistan experiences violent earthquakes. In 2005, the country was hit by a 7.6-magnitude earthquake that killed thousands of people.
