Nablus: 37 Palestinians were injured by live and rubber bullets during the Israeli occupation forces’ raid on the Old City of Nablus, northern West Bank, Wednesday. The raid lasted approximately 14 hours.
According to Qatar News Agency, local sources said that the occupation forces stormed the city with dozens of military vehicles, positioned themselves in its center, and imposed a siege on the Old City. They began raiding citizens’ homes inside, forcing several families to evacuate their homes in the Al Qasaba neighborhood.
The sources noted that the operation resulted in two arrests and forced several families to evacuate their homes, turning them into military barracks before withdrawing. The Old City of Nablus witnessed one of the most violent and longest Israeli raids last June, when large forces of the occupation army invaded the alleys of the historic city, amid heavy gunfire and tear gas bombs, storming homes by force, forcing residents to leave, in addition to looting and destroying shops, and converting historic buildings into military barracks, as happened with Khan Al Wakala.
