UAE delegation discusses cooperation in government modernisation with Prime Minister of Uzbekistan.

The governments of the UAE and Uzbekistan discussed the means of strengthening their bilateral cooperation in modernising and developing government performance and services, as well as ways of improving their bilateral relations and joint cooperation.

Their discussion took place during a meeting between Abdulla Aripov, Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, and Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future, which is part of an official visit by a UAE government delegation to the Uzbek capital, Tashkent.

Aripov expressed his country’s appreciation for the UAE’s efforts to develop joint government work while pointing out that the Uzbek government is keen to benefit from the UAE’s international experience in forming active future governments, which will improve the lives of his country’s people.

Aripov added that the recent visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Uzbekistan, to the UAE, was aimed at promoting cooperation and creating partnership agreements related to various political and economic areas while noting that government modernisation is a priority for his country, which aims to create partnerships with leading countries, such as the UAE.

Al Gergawi said that developing government work is a key part of the UAE’s efforts to create a better future while pointing out that building partnerships with friendly countries is an Emirati policy.

Al Gergawi added that the UAE’s leadership has adopted a model of cooperation that will advance communities and develop relations based on trust, respect and common humanitarian values while noting that the UAE’s strategic partnership with the government of Uzbekistan confirms this model.

The UAE’s government is keen to share its successful experience in developing and innovating new working models with the rest of the world, to predict future challenges and improve performance and customer experience through launching relevant initiatives, such as government accelerators, government excellence systems, and other programmes related to building capabilities and establishing an innovative government culture, Al Gergawi said in conclusion.

The UAE delegation comprises Dr. Ahmad bin Abdullah Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education and Advanced Skills;Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence;Mohamed Bin Taliah,Assistant Director General for Government Services Sector at the Prime Minister’s Office in the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Future;Dr. Yasir Al Naqbi,Assistant Director General for Leadership and Government Capabilities at the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Future;Mohammed Hareb Al Mehairbi, UAE Ambassador to Uzbekistan; and a number of Uzbek officials.
