The Council of Ministers holds its twenty-second regular session, headed by Al-Sudani, and takes several decisions

The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, chaired today, Tuesday, the twenty-second regular session of the Council of Ministers, in which the country’s public affairs were discussed, and the most important economic and service vital files were reviewed, in addition to deliberating the issues on the agenda and taking decisions in their regard.

In confirmation of the government’s principle of transparency in the work of state institutions, and in order to enhance responsible media and journalistic work, the Council of Ministers hosted the head of the Integrity Commission, to discuss a draft law (the right to obtain information), and in this regard, the Prime Minister directed all Ministers to study the draft law, provided that they submit their comments on it within a maximum period of one month.

Al-Sudani also directed the necessity of paying attention to renewable energy projects, taking practical measures regarding them, and unifying the state’s efforts towards the renewable energy file, which the government has adopted among the priorities of its executive program.

The Council of Ministers deliberated on the Hajj file, and the facilities provided to them. The Prime Minister wished a successful and safe Hajj for all Iraqi pilgrims heading towards the Sacred House of God, and referred to the state’s support for the pilgrims in the current Hajj season, in order to reach the lowest financial costs among the countries of the Islamic world, in addition to adopting the official exchange rate for pilgrims. Al-Sudani affirmed the continuation of his follow-up of their affairs, and also directed to provide all necessary facilities for Hajj, convoys and trips, in order to secure the best services for them.

The Council of Ministers discussed the file of new cities approved by the government to address the housing problem and reduce overcrowding within city centers, and in the context of the Prime Minister’s directives to provide facilities to proceed with them.
