Students sparkle in SOP Football Competitions

Doha� The football competitions for boys’ preparatory schools at the 13th edition of the Schools Olympic Program (SOP) were resumed on Thursday at Aspire Academy of Sport Excellence.

In the first group, Khalid bin Ahmed School defeated Usama bin Zaid School 2-1 to lead the group while Al Emam Al Shafei School edged past Abi Ubaida School and Rawdat Rashed School to take the first place in the second group.

Ibn Khaldoun School trounced Dukhan School to lead the fourth group while the Religious Institute shared the leadership of fifth group with Al Yarmok School and Mohammed bin Jassim School.

The SOP Committee aims to promote a culture of sport at Qatar’s schools and to engage the entire community in active and healthy lifestyles while retaining local values and traditions.
