Qatar’s Al Khalifi Finishes Fourth in 200M Freestyle World Championship

GWANGJU South Korea, Qatari swimmer Yaqoub Al Khalifi Monday won the fourth place in the 200 meter swimming freestyle competition within the swimming competition at the 18th FINA World Championships 2019 being held in Gwangju, South Korea, and continues until July 28.

Al Khalifi recorded a time of 1:56.57 minutes.

Al Khulaifi will swim 100 meters butterfly on Friday, and Firas Saidi will swim in the 100m freestyle Wednesday and the 50m freestyle on Friday. Nada Arakji will take part in the women’s 50m freestyle on Saturday.

Qatari swimmers will participate in the first three rounds of the 2019 World Championships with Abdulaziz Al Obaidli and Fires Al Saidi taking part in the first round in Tokyo, Japan, from August 2 to 4, Omar Ashraf and Karim Salamah in the second round in Jinan, China, from 8 to 10 August, and Yaqoub Al Khulaifi and Yousuf Al Khulaifi in the third round to be held in Singapore from August 15 to 17.
