Bayern’s annual assembly ended in tumultuous scenes shortly after midnight on Thursday after tensions boiled over in connection with the club’s sponsoring deal with Qatar Airways. Members chanted “Hainer out” as they voiced their displeasure with club president Herbert Hainer, and chants of “we are Bayern and you are not” and “we are the fans you don’t want” were also heard.
