With its recent confirmation in the Reseau Francophone de la Regulation des Telecommunications (FRATEL), the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) is now among over 40 global postal and telecommunication regulators joining hands to discuss innovative approaches to regulation, regulatory trends and best practices.
Joining FRATEL is part of CRA’s wider strategic approach to foster dialog with key international stakeholders and industry leaders in the ICT & Postal sectors. CRA intends to leverage from these partnerships and discussions to implement effective regulatory instruments, regulations and policies in Qatar.
FRATEL’s main objective is to provide a platform for regulators to share innovative approaches to regulation, and identify regulatory trends and best practices to the benefit of all members. FRATEL facilitates the coordination and cooperation of its members.
In a sector growing and changing as rapidly as communications, it is crucial that we can exchange insights and experience, and improve our cooperation with leading regulators from around the world, Mohammed Ali al-Mannai, President of CRA, said.
