Baghdad, The national football teams of Japan and Spain qualified for the round of 16, after Japan’s victory over Spain, with two goals to one, in the third stage of Group E matches within the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Japan topped the group with six points in front of the second Spain, four points, by goal difference from Germany, while Costa Rica occupied last place with three points.
Germany and Costa Rica were both eliminated from the World Cup, although the Germans won by 4 goals to 2.
