BAGHDAD, Qatar has asked Iraq to support its candidacy for membership of the Executive Councils of the Civil Aviation Organization and UNESCO.
“The Acting Chairman of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences, Plenipotentiary Minister Rahman Farhan al-Amiri, met the Qatari charge d’affaires in Baghdad Hussein Ali al-Fadala at the Ministry headquarters.
During the meeting, the Qatari Charge d’Affaires handed over to the Acting Head of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences a letter addressed to the Minister of Foreign Affairs by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdul Rahman Bin Jassim Al Thani, requesting Qatar’s candidacy for membership of the Executive Council Of the Civil Aviation Organization and membership of the Executive Board of UNESCO “.
For his part, the head of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences said that the Ministry welcomes the request of the Qatari government and will study the request and praised the development of relations between the two brotherly countries.
