The sale of sacrificial animals to citizens at subsidized prices will begin on Tuesday, August 14, on the initiative of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC).
The ministry had earlier announced the subsidy for sacrifice on the occasion of Eid al-Adha 1439 AH, which comes for the sixth year in a row to create a balance in prices.
The sale will take place from Tuesday, August 14, until Thursday, August 23, 1439 AH (corresponding to the third day of Eid al-Adha).
The ministry has set the prices of live sheep at QR1,200 for the local sheep weighing 40 Kg and above and QR1,100 for Arabian sheep of 45 Kg and above.
