Qatar Volleyball Team beat Japan in Asian Senior Beach Volleyball Championships

Beijing, Qatar Volleyball Team (1) have made a good start at their participation in the Asian Senior Beach Volleyball Championships in Maoming, China. The championships started yesterday and runs until 12 May. The Qatari team secured a deserved victory after beating Japan’s Ikeda Jumpei and Shiratori Katsuhiro in two sets in their match played today in the Group B.

The results of the two sets were 21-18, 21-14, and the Qatari team will play their second match on Friday against New Zealand’s Nicklin Alani and Hartles Thomas.

32 teams are taking part in the tournament. The Qatari team (1) held a closed training camp in China in preparation for the tournament. The volleyball association received an invitation for international referee Ahmed Hussein to participate in the Asian Senior Beach Volleyball Championships.
