The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) has announced its initiative to support the prices of sheep meat for citizens during the holy month of Ramadan 1439H, which will start from Sha’ban 27 1439H, corresponding to May 13, 2018 until the end of the holy month.

This comes as part of a number of initiatives launched by MEC for the holy month of Ramadan under the slogan less than duty, as part of its commitment to ensuring the availability of sheep meat for citizens during the holy month at reasonable prices, along with price control and balance between supply and demand in the markets.

MEC explained that it was agreed with Widam Food Company (Widam) to sell the sheep at subsidized and reduced prices to the citizens (two sheep head for each citizen, provided the original card is presented), in Widam’s quarries in Doha, North, Khor, Mazrou’a and Shahaniya.
