The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, in cooperation with the UAE Embassy in Tokyo, has distributed food baskets to Muslims living in a number of areas in Japan, including the cities of Tokyo and Fukuoka, as part of its ‘Iftar Project’ during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The is the first time the project is being implemented in Japan by the Foundation.
The food baskets contained Japanese food items that were made to specifically cater for local tastes. The Foundation said it aims to expand the project to reach more beneficiaries in the future.
