The Palestinian Ministry of Health emphasized in its statement that no hospital in Gaza is capable of accommodating the wounded and the malnourished children forced to leave the Shifa Medical Complex by the Israeli army. It noted the tragic death of 51 patients, including 4 malnourished children, in the Shifa complex due to power outages after fuel depletion and the Israeli army's siege on the compound.
