Milo Dukanovic, President of Montenegro, received, in the capital Podgorica, Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, UAE Minister of Education, and his delegation, which is visiting Montenegro.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the cooperation in the public and higher education sectors between the UAE and Montenegro.
The visit aims to promote discussions on education and transfer the UAE’s educational experience, as well as to encourage cooperation between higher education institutions and universities, and promote technical and vocational education.
The ministry’s delegation, headed by Al Hammadi, began its tour by meeting Damir Sehovic, Minister of Education of Montenegro, to discuss their experiences in the education sector.
The UAE delegation also met with Olivera Nicolic, Director-General of the Preschool, Primary and Comprehensive Education Directorate of Montenegro, to discuss future cooperation.
The delegation then met with Mubera Kurpejovic, Director-General of the Higher Education Directorate of Montenegro, to consolidate their work in the higher education sector and in cooperation between universities.
The delegation also discussed, with Veljko Tomic, Director-General of the Directorate of General Secondary, Secondary Vocational and Adult Education, coordination between both parties in technical and vocational education.
The delegation later visited leading universities and schools, including the University of Donja Gorica, where it reviewed the university’s educational experience and courses.
Al Hammadi and the delegation also met with Kenan Hrapovic, Minister of Health of Montenegro, to discuss their cooperation in the health sector, which is connected to the education sector, as well as their cooperation and mutual support.
The delegation included Hareb Obaid Al Rumaithi, UAE Ambassador to Montenegro, and several academic leaders and officials.
