Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, met today, Saturday, at his residence, the head of the Iraqi Islamic Supreme Council, Sheikh Hammam Hamoudi.
The meeting discussed the general situation in the country, and the importance of supporting the government to carry out its tasks and duties, especially at the level of services and the provision of basic needs for citizens, as well as the establishment of development, economic and strategic projects for the advancement of the country.
During the meeting, according to a statement by Al-Mandalawi’s office, the need to strengthen the oversight role of the House of Representatives was emphasized, in a way that contributes to combating the scourge of corruption, and strengthening the path of positive relations with the countries of the region and the world according to the principle of respect and common interests.
